For a brief summary of our 2004 Fall meeting:

Dr.Thomas Wright, MD was our guest lecturer. Dr. Wright is an Associate Professor of Pathology at Columbia's College of Physicians and Surgeons. He is also an Associate attending in Pathology at New York- Presbyterian Hospital.

Dr Wright lectured on "Advances in Gynecological Cytology" He discussed about the new technological advances such as Surepath, Thinprep, Tripath focal point slide Profiler, thinprep Imaging system and HPV Testing. He discussed the Surepath system of the Collection, Preparation, and analysis of specimens. He also talked about the advantages of liquid based cytology verses conventionals. He further discussed the Tripath and HPV testing.
