Solaida Mamsaang
" Lean in
the Lab"
Solaida Mamsaang is currently a Project
Manager in the Anatomic Pathology department at Quest
Diagnostics in Teterboro, New Jersey. She has implemented
several process and efficiency improvements in Cytology
and Histology since her start at Quest Diagnostics in
2003. Her experience in Cytology also includes implementation
of processes for screening pap smears originating from
outside of the United States. She has also helped to
introduce new processes for computer assisted liquid
based pap technology. She has made several changes to
enhance sample turn around time and quality.
Solaida has a BS in Biology from Bucknell
University, and an Executive Masters in Technology Management
from Stevens Institute of Technology. She has more than
6 years of Six Sigma Black Belt experience and has been
a certified Quality Engineer by the American Society
of Quality. Solaida also has 7 years of prior working
experience with Medical Device and Pharmaceutical companies,
such as Hoffman La Roche Pharmaceutical and Ortho Clinical
Diagnostics (a Johnson & Johnson company).
